There are moments in life when we pause—just for a second—and realize how incredible God truly is. Not just in the grand, miraculous ways, but in the quiet, steady ways He shows up every single day. His awesomeness isn’t limited to what He does; it’s revealed in who He is. God is awesome in His wisdom. Awesome in His timing. Awesome in His ability to bring peace into chaos and purpose into places that feel uncertain.

Throughout Scripture, we see glimpses of this again and again—and one beautiful example is found in the life of Abigail. Abigail’s story (1 Samuel 25) unfolds in the middle of tension, conflict, and potential disaster. David, angered and ready to act, is on his way to take matters into his own hands. But Abigail steps in—not with fear, but with wisdom, courage, and discernment that can only come from God. She doesn’t match anger with anger. She responds with humility, thoughtful action, and carefully chosen words. In doing so, she prevents bloodshed and shifts the course of events entirely.

That’s the awesomeness of God at work. God’s awesomeness isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it looks like wisdom in the right moment. It looks like restraint when emotions are high. It looks like courage to step in when something isn’t right. Abigail didn’t just experience God’s awesomeness—she reflected it. And that same God is at work in us.

In our everyday lives, we may not be standing in front of a future king with a crisis unfolding—but we do face moments that require wisdom, grace, and discernment. A tense conversation. A difficult decision. An opportunity to respond differently than expected.

In those moments, God’s awesomeness shows up through us. James 1:5 reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God—and He gives it generously. That means we don’t have to rely on our own understanding. We are invited to lean into His awesomeness, trusting that He will guide our steps, shape our responses, and steady our hearts.

This month, as we reflect on the awesomeness of God, let’s look beyond the big, obvious moments and begin to recognize His hand in the everyday. In the wisdom to pause. In the strength to choose peace. In the courage to do what is right.

Just like Abigail, we can be women who carry His presence into every situation. Not perfect. Not always certain. But willing. And when we do, we become living reminders that God is still awesome—still moving, still guiding, still working in and through His people.

Let March be a month where you not only witness God’s awesomeness—but walk in it.
